Nick Leslau. Real EstateBorn in Cricklewood, England, was the son of a jeweler/art historian father and a mother who worked full-time to support his education. Rising out of poverty, Leslau began his career at a fairly young age as an assistant to his local milkman, and soon after resold umbrellas at his local marketplace. At the age of seventeen he
managed a local grocery shop, the Late Late Store, and after a brief interval studying German at Warwick University, he instead chose to pursue a degree in surveying.
After university, Leslau became a chartered surveyor with the Burford Group, a ground rent company of commodities traders, wherein he continued his trend of rapid advancement by becoming CEO at the age of 23.
With the help of financier Nigel Wray, whom he had met while managing the Late Late Store, he engineered a reverse takeover of Chartsearch, Wray's listed company.
