Overview

Samuel A. Tamposi emerged from humble beginnings as a farmer and vacuum cleaner sales representative to become New Hampshire's chief Billionaire real estate developer.

He was a prominent property developer, a visionary entrepreneur and a Republican Party activist. He is known for his work in the New Hampshire, Citrus Hills and Nashua. He had friendly relations with Ted Williams who was a former baseball player and had association with the Boston Red Sox.

In the 1950’s, when the Textron plant of Nashua was shut down, his interest shifted towards sales. After the massive development of Citrus Hills in the year 1977, Tamposi was invited to become a limited partner in ownership of the Boston Red Sox.

He met Gerald Nash involving this development and soon they formed a fast partnership.

Education

Samuel Tamposi completed his graduation from a reputed high school.

Business/Career

Initially entrepreneur Samuel Tamposi started his career by selling Electrolux vacuum cleaners door to door. After struggling several years as a salesperson, he began to buy factories, vacant mills and farmlands which included some portions that were sold for $7 an acre.

Real estate entrepreneur Tamposi also played a crucial role in perusing many Fortune 500 companies to build their plants in New Hampshire. It includes companies like Coca-Cola, Raytheon, Anheuser Busch, Fidelity Investments, Sylvania, Sun Chemical, Honeywell and Kollsman Instrument.

Tamposi invested most of his fortune in the dumped buildings which he sold and used the capital to develop other buildings. In the mid 1960’s Tamposi and his partner Nash developed over 120 acres of saleable business land, which is quite close to half of New Hampshire’s economic growth at that time.

They developed the Citrus Hills in Florida, a 15,000 acre of land that spreads across 75 miles to the north of Tampa. The property now includes two golf courses planned by Arnold Palmer and more than 2,500 well built houses.

Tamposi and Nash also created the Floridian community in the north of Tampa and ever since it excelled, it has become one of the premiere country club communities of the central Florida.
